Moore, who formerly wrote on the economy and public policy for The Wall Street Journal, is National Spokesman for Compact for America Educational Foundation and the Distinguished Visiting Fellow, Project for Economic Growth, at The Heritage Foundation. Moore, who also was a member of The Journal’s editorial board, returned to Heritage in January 2014 -- about 25 years after his tenure as the leading conservative think tank’s Grover M. Hermann Fellow in Budgetary Affairs from 1984 to 1987. He founded and served as president of the Club for Growth from 1999 to 2004.

Sam Batkins focuses his research on examining the rulemaking efforts of administrative agencies and Congress. His work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Hill, Reuters, and The Washington Post, among other publications. He has testified before the U.S. House, Senate, and state legislatures across the country. Prior to joining the Forum, Batkins worked at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Institute for Legal Reform and the National Taxpayers Union. At the U.S. Chamber, he focused on lawsuit abuse, tort reform, and federal regulation. During his time at the National Taxpayers Union, he conducted studies on state and federal spending. Batkins received his B.A. in political science from Sewanee: The University of the South, where he graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He received his J.D. from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. He is a member of the Maryland Bar.

Dranias is a constitutional scholar and an expert in the law of interstate compacts. Dranias has written and published more than 50 articles in law and public policy, including law review articles, public policy reports, and opinion editorials focused in the law of interstate compacts, state sovereignty, regulatory reform and local governmental reform. He has appeared as a constitutional scholar on Fox News, MSN-NBC, NPR, and many other outlets. Previously, Dranias served as General Counsel, Policy Development Director and Constitutional Policy Director at the Goldwater Institute. Dranias led the Goldwater Institute’s successful challenge to Arizona’s system of government campaign financing to the U.S. Supreme Court. Prior to that, Nick was an attorney with the Institute for Justice for three years and an attorney in private practice in Chicago for eight years.

Since late 2014, Erick Brimen serves as a partner at NeWAY Capital, an asset management firm that invests in the profitable advancement of liberty. Erick started his career in private banking, working at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co - the oldest and largest private bank in the United States. He later moved to investment banking as a mergers and acquisition sell-side advisor for AG Edwards & Sons (now Wells Fargo), where he participated in transactions valued at over $1.2 billion. After investment banking, Erick joined Ernst & Young’s London consulting practice, where he advised buy-side private equity clients as they considered acquisition targets. Soon after, he was recruited by the Borealis Group to join as CFO of Latin American operations, leading the creation of multiple business units. When the time was right, Erick started his entrepreneurial career in the world of financial intermediation as founder of ComparaMejor.com. Erick graduated from Babson College with a dual major in Finance and Economics, and focus on Entrepreneurship.

Greg Snowden is the second highest-ranking officer of the Mississippi House of Representatives and was appointed by Governor Bryant to serve on the Compact Commission of the Compact for a Balanced Budget, the first interstate agency ever formed to advance a federal Balanced Budget Amendment. Snowden’s duties as Speaker Pro Tempore include chairing the House Management Committee, which oversees all business, personnel and financial operations of the body. In addition, Snowden serves on the Joint Legislative Budget Committee, a joint committee of Representatives and Senators which prepares the state budget, and on the powerful House Rules Committee, which schedules and controls the flow of legislation. Snowden also serves as Chairman of the Mississippi House Republican Caucus, and is the current chair of the Mississippi Republican Elected Officials Association. Recognized nationally for his leadership, Greg serves on the Executive committees of both the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and the Southern Legislative Conference (SLC).
