Bio – Kyle McAlister
KYLE McALISTER, CEO – Questor Pipeline Company
Over the past 30 years, Kyle McAlister has been involved in energy and crude oil trading joint ventures around the world, currently focusing on synthetic fuels developed through coal to liquids (CTL) and gas to liquids (GTL) technologies. In 1982, Kyle started supplying the nation of South Africa with crude oil. This arrangement lasted until he was forced by the United States Government to sell this company to his foreign employees on January 1, 1987. In 1982, Kyle formed Questor Pipeline Company and built its first offshore pipeline in the in the West Delta Block of the Gulf of Mexico for Anadarko Petroleum. In 1983, the company built its second offshore pipeline for Anadarko, Samedan, Diamond Shamrock/Maxus, Elf Aquitaine and Columbia Gas. A third pipeline for Anadarko followed in 1988. Between 1988 and 2004, Kyle entered into various joint ventures including:
- Refinery Associates of Texas, which supplied military jet fuel, bunkers, marine and arctic diesel to the U.S. Government, NATO, West PAC, Greenland, and Antarctica.
- A joint venture with Exxon Pipeline Company to convert Exxon’s 18-inch Longhorn crude oil pipeline, which ran from Baytown, Texas across the state to El Paso, then on to Santa Fe and Albuquerque, NM to Phoenix, AZ into a products pipeline.
- A joint venture in Alaska with Sasol LTD the largest African oil company and the world leader in Coal to Liquids (CTL) and Gas to Liquids (GTL) technology
- A second joint venture with Sasol LTD, to convert the coal of the massive Beluga Coal Field into synthetic fuels. The Beluga Coal Field is the largest proven coalfield, located on the tidewater in the United States.
Since 2004, Kyle has focused his efforts on expanding the pipeline gathering system in the Gulf of Mexico and the marketing of crude oil throughout Texas, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming and Colorado. Currently, Kyle resides in Kingsland, TX with his wife Tara. Kyle is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.and Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of Compact for America, Inc.
